A small shrub or tree, 3-6m tall. Grows at 10-900 meters in elevation.

Flower: Cluster of small white flowers, heavy with fragrance, dark purple with small seeds.

Leaves: Dark green, shiny, ovate. 2.8-9cm long. .9-4.1cm wide.
